Services Provided

Siuta Consulting provides the following worldwide in- and out-licensing services to pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, universities and research institutes:

License Negotiations:  With more than 43 years of experience in the area of Technology Transfer/New Product Licensing, we have the necessary license negotiation skills to facilitate the licensing process and to achieve a deal that is satisfactory to our client.  We negotiate terms of all types of Agreements including: Exclusive and Non-Exclusive License, Option, Screening, Material Transfer, Sponsored Research and Confidentiality.

Out-Licensing:  We assist companies and academic institutions with the out-licensing of novel technologies and new products in all stages of preclinical and clinical development by using our contacts at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia.  We will prepare the non-confidential data package including the Executive Summary, identify potential licensee companies, make the initial contact, arrange for meetings and negotiate all necessary agreements.

Technology Identification:  With our extensive network of technology transfer officers at universities and research institutes in the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia and within United States government laboratories, we are able to identify novel technologies and/or research programs that fall within a client's defined parameters.  We evaluate the technology by reviewing all available non-confidential information and providing the client with a detailed License Opportunity summary. 

New Product Identification:  Utilizing our vast network of licensing contacts at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the United States, Europe, Canada, Japan and Australia, we identify potential new products in all stages of preclinical and clinical development as in-licensing opportunities.  We will make the initial contact on behalf of the client to ascertain the availability of the candidate, arrange for introductory meetings and assist with license negotiations.

Portfolio Evaluation:  Based upon our knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, we assist clients with the evaluation of their out-licensing portfolio with regard to various parameters such as market assessment, patentability and licensing potential.

Expert Witness:  With more than 43 years of experience in the area of pharmaceutical and biotechnology product and technology licensing, we have served as an Expert Witness with regard to normal licensing practices such as reasonable royalties, due diligence, license agreement terminology, contract disputes, etc.
